Matt Hardy said that his match earlier tonight at a WWE house show in Corpus Christi, TX was his final live event commitment and it was "most likely the last time you will ever see Woken Matt Hardy in WWE."
[EXCLUSIVE VIDEO] It's time for me to go home.. To be a father and a husband. I did so much more than I ever imagined I would do in this industry. Thanks for making this incredible journey with me, ladies and gentlemen. I love you all. https://t.co/xGbm8bKSQD— MATTHEW MOORE HARDY (@MATTHARDYBRAND) September 16, 2018

Please support my partner, @WWEBrayWyatt, going forward. He’s outrageously talented & we’ve become kindred souls during our time teaming together. Thank you, SAMAEL. https://t.co/YI70qHpGOJ
Hardy has been undergoing treatment for various injuries and it was previously said that he would make a decision about his in-ring future after the treatment, but it seems like he's leaning towards retirement.
The 43-year-old Hardy has been in the wrestling business since 1992. He made his WWE debut in 1994 and became a fixture during the Attitude Era with his brother, Jeff Hardy, as the Hardy Boyz.
The duo won the WWE tag team title seven times, most recently after returning to the company at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
