Former WWE Star Brian Christopher Passes Away At 46


Former WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Christopher Lawler, son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler, has died after attempting to hang himself in a jail cell.

The 46-year-old was placed on life support on Saturday night after the suicide attempt at the Hardeman County Jail outside Memphis, Tennessee, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has confirmed. His life support was turned off after his family, including his father, had arrived at the hospital to pay their respects.

Lawler had been arrested on July 7 for driving under the influence and evading police, and was also arrested in June for reportedly leaving without paying a bill at a Hampton by Hilton hotel.

WWE is saddened to learn that Brian Christopher Lawler, who is best known in WWE as Too Cool’s Grandmaster Sexay, has passed away. Lawler, who is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, competed during the height of the Attitude Era. WWE extends its condolences to Lawler’s family, friends and fans.
