Here are the WWE NXT results for January 23, 2019. This week's episode of NXT featured Velveteen Dream against Bobby Fish, the go-home content for TakeOver: Phoenix, some tag team action and more.

- Velveteen Dream comes out to the ring to start the show and talks about his wanting a shot at the North American Championship, but he's interrupted by Adam Cole and Bobby Fish of Undisputed Era, who say they plan on winning gold for themselves. They go on the attack and Dream escapes.
1. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch defeated Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel when Oney pins Fabian with a roll up.
2. Kairi Sane and Io Shirai defeated Amber Nova and Tanea Brooks when Kairi pins Tanea after Kairi hits an assisted flying elbow drop and Io an assisted moonsault. After the match, they share some words backstage with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.
3. Velveteen Dream defeated Bobby Fish via pinfall with the Purple Rain Maker.
- Ricochet cuts a promo about Johnny Gargano, who comes out and quickly picks a fight. Tommaso Ciampa then comes out, followed by Aleister Black. #DIY seems to be reforming, as Gargano and Ciampa seem on the same page, until Candice LeRae comes out to try to talk some sense into Gargano, telling him not to even consider it.
