Here are the WWE NXT results for December 19, 2018. This week's episode of NXT featured Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano in a steel cage, Dominik Dijakovic's debut, Heavy Machinery in action and more.
WWE NXT Results:
1. Io Shirai and Dakota Kai defeated Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. Shirai hits Shafir with a moonsault to pickup the victory.
- Matt Riddle is interviewed about Kassius Ohno's attack two weeks ago. Riddle says Ohno needs all the advantages he can get and he begs him to get in the ring again, because he'll knock him out in seven seconds just like before.
2. Dominik Dijakovic defeated Aaron Mackey. Dijakovic hits Feast Your Eyes for the three count.
- Next week, Heavy Machinery faces Undisputed Era for the tag titles.
3. Heavy Machinery defeated Blake Howell and Danny D'Accardo. Dozovic & Knight combined to hit a Compactor on both men for the win.
4. Steel Cage Match: Johnny Gargano defeated Aleister Black. Gargano ran out and attacked Black before the bell. They had a long, hard-fought match where they used the cage throughout, slamming and throwing each other into the walls. When it seemed like we were near the finish and Black was crawling to the cage door and Gargano was on top of the cage ready to escape, Ciampa ran down to slam the door into Black's face. Instead of escaping, Gargano returned to the ring and had a staredown with Ciampa as Black was laid out between them. When Black tried to pick himself up, they both ran in with knees as the "DIY" chants erupted from the crowd. Ciampa leaves the ring and closes the cage door. Gargano pins Black.
