The second round of the 2018 WWE Mae Young Classic continued this week with eight wrestlers competing in four matches. This was the last of the second-round contests.
Mae Young Classic Results:
1. Io Shirai defeated Zeuxis with a moonsault.
2. Deonna Purrazzo defeated Xia Li. Purrazzo won by submission with a double Fujiwara armbar.
3. Tegan Nox defeated Nicole Matthews after a headbutt, a cannonball in the corner, and a Shining Wizard.
4. Mia Yim defeated Kaitlyn. Yim kicked out of a spear and won the match by submission with a knee-bar.
- The quarterfinals of the tournament are now set and will begin airing next Wednesday – Meiko Satomura vs. Lacey Lane, Yim vs. Storm, Nox vs. Ripley and Purrazzo vs. Shirai. The finals will air live at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view on October 28.
