WWE Raw Results: August 27, 2018


Here are the WWE Raw results for August 27, 2018. The show featured the announcement of a big main event for Hell in a Cell, as well as a tag team main event for Raw itself.

WWE Raw Results:

- Braun Strowman promised to not cash in his Money in the Bank contract until Hell in a Cell if Roman Reigns would meet him inside the Cell, and Reigns agreed. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre challenged them to a tag match, and Baron Corbin made it official.

1. Baron Corbin defeated Finn Bálor. Corbin initially lost the match by disqualification after using a steel chair, but announced that he forgot to mention the match was no disqualification, and had it restarted. He then won quickly with another chair shot and End of Days.

2. Sasha Banks defeated Dana Brooke by submission with the Banks Statement.

3. Intercontinental Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) defeated Kevin Owens. Rollins issued an open challenge, which was answered by Owens. Owens missed a moonsault, leaving him open for a Curb Stomp. After the match, Owens “quit.”

4. The Revival defeated Raw Tag Team Champions The B-Team. The Revival won a non-title match with the Shatter Machine.

- Shawn Michaels will appear on next week’s Raw to give his thoughts on Triple H vs. The Undertaker. WWE got pre-taped comments this week from Stone Cold Steve Austin, Booker T, Big Show, and Diamond Dallas Page.

- Elias attempted to perform. He was interrupted by Trish Stratus, and they insulted each other until Stratus slapped him. Ronda Rousey and Natalya interrupted, which led into the next segment.

- Alexa Bliss announced she’s invoking her Raw Women’s Championship rematch at Hell in a Cell.

5. Natalya defeated Alicia Fox by submission with a Sharpshooter. Ronda Rousey and Trish Stratus were in Natalya’s corner, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James were in Fox’s.

- Trish Stratus, Ronda Rousey and Natalya greet The Bella Twins backstage after commercial. The Bellas give them all props and Nikki Bella talks about how proud they are of Rousey to headline the division going into Evolution. The Bellas announce that they will return to Raw action on next Monday’s show. They all take a selfie together.

6. Bobby Lashley defeated The Ascension. Baron Corbin put Lashley into a handicap match. Lashley won with a Yokosuka Cutter on Viktor.

7. Dean Ambrose defeated Jinder Mahal. Ambrose wrestles without his shirt on now. He countered Khallas into Dirty Deeds to pick up the win.

8. Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler was a no contest, when Reigns tagged Strowman but Strowman refused to get into the ring. Ziggler and McIntyre continued to attack Reigns, and the match was thrown out. After the match, all three men beat up Reigns. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins tried to make the save individually, but were beaten down.
