Ronda Rousey To Be Inducted Into UFC Hall Of Fame, WWE Stars Reactions

The UFC announced tonight that WWE star Ronda Rousey will be inducted into the modern wing of the UFC Hall of Fame in July during International Fight Week. The ceremony will take place at the UFC Fan Expo in Las Vegas on July 5th.

Rousey came into the UFC undefeated and made her debut as the first-ever UFC women's bantamweight champion against Liz Carmouche at UFC 158 in February of 2013. She defeated Carmouche in the first round and successfully defended her title five more times, finishing all of her opponents. She finally lost the belt to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November of 2015. She lost her next fight to Amanda Nunes at UFC 206 in December of 2016, which was her last UFC fight before she signed with WWE earlier this year.

Rousey is scheduled to face RAW Women's Champion Nia Jax at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view next Sunday.

"This is an immense honor, to not only take part in bringing women to the forefront of this sport, but now the UFC Hall of Fame," Rousey said. "May I be the first of many."
